Situation

transmitted to base. Follow up
engineering units are able to
locate the precise position of
the potential area of risk and

AFGHANISTAN
Situation
Telephone lines needed to
be mapped quickly and
efficiently by air.
Solution
Historically it was necessary
to hover directly over each pole
in a helicopter whilst the data
was captured. Using ike304 the
helicopter was less of a target
to Taliban or associated forces
and could make uninterrupted
progress – ike captured the
data at a distance without the
need to hover over each pole. |

USA
Situation
Joliet Army Ammunition Plant
was constructed during World
War II. In April 1993, the
property was declared as
excess by the Army and the
land is being transferred to
various Federal, local and
state jurisdictions.
Solution
A safety assessment of the
land was required which
included a survey of manholes.
ike was identified as the ideal
data capture device to quickly
locate and capture all required
data including a photograph.
Situation
In the immediate aftermath of
Hurricane Katrina it was vital
to know the precise location
of features in the disaster
zones and their geospatial
relationship to each other.
Solution
The resulting bio hazards and
access problems meant that

capture data from a distance
