Ike is a:
Laser Distance Meter, Digital Camera, GPS, Compass, Computer
and Inclinometer, contained in one hand held unit, which can
capture GIS data at a range of up to 1000 meters. |
ike provides operators with a rapid, safe, flexible and
reliable method of gathering geospatial information from
a position up to 1000m away from the target. At the push
of a button the unit can combine all this data
together with a photograph of the target.
ike thereby provides a totally integrated solution to
GIS mapping and data capture. The unique mix of
technologies encapsulated in ike allows it to provide
users with a solution that is rapid, safe, flexible &
reliable.Ike comes in three
versions; the 105, the 205, and the 305.

to be collected with a minimum of five satellites,
a maximum Position Dilution of Precision (PDOP) of
four, minimum satellite Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR)
of 30dB, minimum satellite elevation of fifteen
degrees and reasonable multipath conditions.
Ionospheric conditions, multipath signals or
obstructions of the sky by buildings or dense
trees may degrade precision by interfering with
signal reception.
Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) is only
available in North America, European Geostationary
Navigation Overlay Service (EGNOS) is only
available in Europe.
